The new painting to work with last week on my course with Sharon Tomlinson "Diary of Faces" www.allnorahsart.ning.com is "Joan of Arc" by Charles Frederick Goldie (1870-1947). Here is my effort, stage 1, my charcoal sketch. Terrified of those hands, heaven alone knows what they will be like when I paint them!
